Summer in Full Swing at Grain – Football, Terrace Life & New Specials
Summer is moving fast at Grain, and July brings a full mix of sport, food, relaxing terrace moments, and a few special experiences worth marking in your calendar.
From the final stages of the World Cup to new menu updates and a unique spirits and cigar evening, there’s plenty happening both on and off the pitch. Here’s what we’ve got in store for the summer.
World Cup Final Games
The excitement continues as we head into the final stages of the World Cup, with both Switzerland and England still in contention.
We’re screening the major World Cup fixtures, with the tournament reaching its most decisive stage, including late-night fixtures and knockout drama:
Tuesday 7th July – Last 16
- Argentina vs Egypt – kick-off 18:00
- Switzerland vs Colombia – kick-off 21:00
Thursday 9th July – Quarter-Finals
- France vs Morocco – kick-off 22:00
Friday 10th July – Quarter-Finals
- Spain vs Belgium – kick-off 21:00.
And once these are underway, we’ll also be here for the Semi-Finals and the Final. For the late fixtures, Grain will be showing selected matches into the early hours.

Weekend Update – À-la-carte Returns on Saturdays, Brunch Sundays Only
From July, we’re adjusting our weekend rhythm.
On Saturdays, we’re moving back to our full à-la-carte offering, giving you the freedom to enjoy your favourite Grain dishes throughout the day. Sundays will now be dedicated to brunch only, making it the perfect end-of-week ritual with friends and family.
Also, July also brings a refresh of our menus, with new dishes joining both our à-la-carte and brunch selections.
Reservations are recommended for both days, especially during busy summer weekends on the terrace.
Terrace Now in Full Swing
The Grain terrace is officially in full summer mode.
Whether it’s after-work drinks, weekend catch-ups, or long relaxed evenings outdoors, the terrace is the place to be right now. Cold drinks and a lively atmosphere make it the perfect spot to enjoy Zurich at its best.
New Specials in July
Our current specials bring together bold comfort food and classic favourites, perfect for match days or relaxed terrace dining.
Highlights include:
Express Lunch
- Starter: Soup of the day or garden salad (CHF 7 / CHF 12 large)
- Main: Fish & Chips with tartar sauce and country fries (CHF 24.50)
- Beef Tartare (140g), classic or spicy with optional cognac (+CHF 5)
- Parmigiana di Melanzane with tomato, mozzarella, parmesan & basil
Burger Specials (CHF 24.50)
Served with fries, sweet potato fries, coleslaw or salad:
- Crispy Chili Garlic Chicken Burger
- Mediterranean Quinoa Burger
- Honey Mustard Salmon Burger
- Blue Cheese Smash Burger
- Bourbon Pulled Beef Burger
For all burgers, a side upgrade is available for CHF 7.
Liquor & Cigar Evening – A New Pairing Experience
We’re introducing a special Liquor & Cigar evening on the 21st July at 8:00pm!
Designed as a relaxed pairing experience for those who enjoy flavour and conversation, the night will be led by expert Christian Dully on our sunny terrace.
Enthusiasts and newcomers both welcomed!
The focus is on a curated selection of spirits including Armagnac, Calvados, Rum, and Pineau des Charentes, each chosen to bring out different tasting profiles across the evening.
Guests will be able to enjoy the spirits either as part of a guided pairing experience or independently, with the option to include cigars or simply attend for the tasting itself. Cigars will be available on-site, or guests are welcome to bring their own.
The event costs 48 CHF, which includes 4 fantastic pours.
Book a KegelBahn Evening
Let it roll! Our Kegelbahn at Grain is the perfect group activity for up to 25 guests.
Enjoy classic wooden bowling lanes in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, with Grain food and drinks to boot. Ideal for birthdays, team events or nights out.
Lanes are CHF 30 per hour each, or book both for private use.
