September at Grain: Oktoberfest, New Menus, Football & More
The days may be getting shorter, but things are only getting busier at Grain!
September brings the last of the terrace weather, the start of Oktoberfest, plenty of football and some delicious new additions to our menus.
Make the Most of the Last Summer Days
We have had a fantastic summer at Grain, with plenty of sunny afternoons and evenings spent out on the terrace. It’s sad to see the long days go, but let’s see them out with a last hurrah!
We are hoping for a few more weeks of terrace weather before autumn really arrives, so come down, grab a table outside and enjoy some great food, craft beer and cocktails while the sunshine lasts.
Oktoberfest Is Coming to Grain Again
Oktoberfest gets underway later this month, and we will be getting into the spirit at Grain with a special Festbier on tap.
We will also have a short Oktoberfest food menu designed to pair perfectly with your beer. Think hearty dishes and plenty of seasonal fare.

The Premier League and European Football Is Back
The new football season has kicked off across Europe and we are screening all the action in the bar.
Whether you follow the Premier League, Bundesliga or another European competition, join us for the big games with a cold beer and plenty of great food.
New Lunch, Specials & Brunch Menus
September also brings some fresh flavours to our menus.
Look out for our new Burrata Gnocchi, featuring potato gnocchi with roasted tomato sauce, creamy burrata, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan and basil.
Burger fans can try the new Chipotle Raclette Smash Burger, with two beef patties, Raclette, a Gruyère crust, grilled onions, lettuce and chipotle mayo.
Weekend brunch continues with favourites including the Classic Grain Breakfast and Grilled Salmon Fillet, while our Southern Chicken Waffles with bourbon maple syrup remain a Grain brunch classic.
A New À La Carte Menu Is Coming
That’s not all for the food updates…
There is even more happening in the kitchen later this autumn, with a brand-new à la carte menu on the way.
We are keeping the details under wraps for now, but watch this space for more information and plenty of new dishes to try.
QUIZ NIGHTS ARE BACK AT GRAIN
EVERY SECOND TUESDAY AT 8PM, HOSTED BY OUR VERY OWN REGULAR, SIMON!
Quizmaster Simon will present a fun and challenging night of trivia. The questions are multiple-choice and can be answered via your phone’s web browser. So, bring a charged device!
Players can join teams of up to 4 (or even play solo). The quiz starts at 8 pm, so reserve your spot and enjoy dinner beforehand.
And of course, we’ll have an exciting prize for the winning team!
Thanksgiving at Grain
Thanksgiving is one of our speciality events and always a popular date at Grain!
And so, of course, we will once again be serving our traditional Thanksgiving set menu, with full details for Thanksgiving 2026 coming soon.
This event regularly books out, so if you want to celebrate Thanksgiving in Zurich with us, we recommend reserving your table early.
